We challenge the idea that recycling is not easy, cheap, efficient, or effective - it can be!

We collect most resources (except liquids, organics & food, and medical waste) as long as it is clean & dry.

We find the highest and best use for collected resources - reuse, repurpose, rehome, and recycle.

WEEKLY PICK-UP

FULFILLING & EASY
Being a part of the Resource Recovery Project has been fulfilling and easy. Instead of being confused about what can be recycled and having little faith in your recycling program, you can put almost anything that is clean and dry into the Big Green Bag and know it will get to the right recovery channel.

SO EASY!
The Resource Recovery Project is the easiest and most impactful recycling program we've ever been a part of. Being able to recycle more than we could before, while not having to sort or organize ourselves, and having peace of mind that the materials will be responsibly handled is a huge benefit. The transparent communication and metrics on recycling progress are really great to quantify and increase our confidence in the program. We are extremely happy to be a part of this program!

AREAS OF OPERATION
We currently operate in the Greater Clifton Virginia Area. Roughly between route 29 in the North; route 28 and the Bull Run River in the West; Henderson Road in the South; and Fairfax County Parkway and 123 in the East. Do you live outside this area? SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS

Anything that is not clean & dry

Anything that is not in a folded and clipped BgB

No GLOP - grease, liquids, oils, or pastes

No organics & food including soiled napkins, paper, and paper towels

No used medical supplies or resources

Individual items heavier than 40 lbs and/or larger than the Big Green Bag will hold (appliances, mowers, TVs, etc.) We reserve the right not to pick up any resources outside of the BgB.

Additional services (e.g., removal of large items, household hazardous waste) can be accommodated for a fee
